Danielle Carr
Co-Founder | Volunteer
Danielle began her journey as a single foster mom in 2019 prior to meeting her husband. Now married, Danielle and her husband have temporarily shifted into this space of advocacy within the child welfare system with the intention of returning to taking placements down the road. As a co-founder of Foster Village Peoria Danielle pours her heart, time, and energy into our mission.
With degrees in Special Education, Educational Administration, and a foundation of trauma-informed care training, Danielle is uniquely qualified to walk alongside families, especially those with children with special needs. Outside of Foster Village Peoria, Danielle is a Clinical Professor at Illinois State University. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and three rambunctious dogs.
