The Team

Heather and her spouse (Mike) are parents to two teenagers, who they we fostered and adopted 14 years ago.  Since entering the world of foster parenting they have always striven to be big advocates for kiddos and families in care. In Heather's spare time they attend Second Baptist church of Peoria,  where she is on the Christian Education board and the Outreach Committee. She has worked for 20+ years in the childcare field, and eight years as a paraprofessional in a high school life skills classroom. Heather loves to read, crochet,  cricut and foster animals for SAMS midway animal shelter.  Her dream is to write a book about her fostering journey, as well children's books for youth impacted by foster care and adoption.
